ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT Mr. Kenneth Waters was born and raised in the East Oak Lane and North Philadelphia section of the city and completed his public school education at Bodine High School for International Affairs. Continuing his educational development he attended Temple University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. Having a passion to make a difference in the lives of young people. Mr. Waters would begin his professional career as a Youth Leadership Coordinator for the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) - a progressive non-profit organization whose mission is to provide young people with educational and professional opportunities. Mr. Waters would provide leadership and work ready training to adjudicated kids and individuals between the ages of 14 and 21 while also preparing them for life after high school. During his tenure at PYN he spent time working with city stakeholders and wanted to do something to better serve his community. He would accept a position at the oldest black owned and operated newspaper in the country - The Philadelphia Tribune. As the City & Region Reporter/Staff Writer he pledged that he would provide newsworthy articles that highlighted the works of positive African Americans and those making a difference in the community. Finishing his graduate studies in Sports Management & Administration at Neumann College he continues to write as a national and local freelance writer and does consultant work as media and public relations consultant as well. Mr. Waters is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loves church and attending Wednesday night bible study with his men's ministry; playing basketball; reading novels; writing and eating at nice restaurants. Mr. Waters is looking forward to walking in the life God has him destined for and being the best role model for his nine-month old son Kameron. |
