WHAT IS PRO SPORTS COMMUNITY CONSULTANTS?

Pro Sports Community Consultants (PSCC) is a creative and grassroots marketing and consulting firm designed for progressive and community-conscious professional athletes, entertainers, and public figures who are interested in having a personal, independent, and impactful presence in their neighborhood. Simply put, at PSCC, we specialize in connecting the loving and caring vision of our clients to the community assisting them in the development of a personal legacy among the people that they care about.

YOUTH PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES

Through our work with some of today's influential athletes, artists, and public figures, PSCC works hard to develop initiatives that will reconnect these public figures to the community and especially the youth. PSCC welcomes and establishes partnerships as well as strategic collaborative relationships with both private and public institutions including banks, school districts, foundations, or philanthropic individuals interested in exposing the youth of their community to the more positive aspects of athletics and entertainment. Weekend, afterschool, in-school, and summer programs that target those youth attracted to, motivated by, and interested in careers in sports and entertainment are designed to give the participants direct contact with some of their favorite professional athletes, artists, and public figures.

WEEKEND ACADEMY FOR SPORT & SOCIETY

PSCC's "Weekend Academy for Sport & Society" is a multi-faceted weekend training academy that attracts high school students interested in and motivated by the large career choices in professional athletics, the cultural and performing arts, and entertainment. However, in addition to intensive academic skill development to complement their career interests, the curriculum is designed to specifically shape the interests and talents of the participants for the cause social justice.

Through the weekend academy, an emphasis is placed on developing a "community and world consciousness" that will assist the participants in understanding how to use their public fame and status so they can be agents of social change. The academy also explores historical examples of individuals such as Muhammad Ali, Denny Glover, Jim Brown, Billy Jean King, Harry Belafonte, Bob Dylan, and Amiri Baraka who have changed the world through positive activism within their public status.

ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC SUMMER TRAINING CAMPS

PSCC'S "Academic & Athletic Summer Training Camps" (basketball only) brings together the concept of books and hoops to young boys and girls interested in basketball. PSCC provides individual or team tutoring to participants developing their basketball skills while at the same time preparing the students for the rigors of post secondary educational opportunities. An emphasis is placed on education beyond high school and direct interaction with college and professional coaches, teachers, and executives is a part of the program. Participants will also meet former and pro basketball players as well coaches for a week of fun, competition, and basketball development.

ACTING, VIDEOGRAPHY, & PERFORMING ARTS CLINICS

PSCC in collaboration with TRU-Self Productions, Teyhimba Dance & Drum Ensemble, and Dream Big Talent, Inc. bring the fun of acting, video production, and the performing arts to the youth. These clinics introduce the students to various parts of the arts and entertainment world and participants get first-hand experience learning all aspects of industry.

HOW TO GET PSCC INTO YOUR SCHOOL AND OR COMMUNITY

As a small but effective community-based organization, PSCC generally works through grants and or private funding sources gathered by the interested community. All equipment and personnel including contacts in the professional sports, arts, and entertainment industry that will interact with your children are included as part of the PSCC experience at no additional charge.
